Welcome to Westergate House
We’re delighted to welcome you to Westergate House, our family-run Bed and Breakfast near York. Since 2017, we’ve enjoyed welcoming couples, friends and groups to our house, just four miles south of York.
Set within an acre of mature gardens, Westergate House has the character of a small country house, with easy access to York by bus or car. The York Park & Ride is just two miles away, while the regular 415 bus stops right outside the house, making it easy to leave the car behind and enjoy York without the hassle of city-centre parking.
Our location also makes a great base for discovering more of Yorkshire. Many guests choose to stay a little longer and explore the Yorkshire coast, the North York Moors and the many charming towns and villages nearby.
We have six individually styled en-suite rooms, each with its own character and touches inspired by York’s rich history. During your stay, you can enjoy the space and privacy of the house without feeling that you’re intruding on the owners.
We live in a separate part of the property, so you have your own space to relax and enjoy your stay, while we’re close by if you need anything.
During your stay, you’ll have free on-site parking, an electric vehicle charging point available for a fee, and a freshly cooked breakfast each morning. We’re proud to hold an AA Four Star Gold rating and AA Breakfast Award, recognising the quality and care we put into what we do.
A few things to know
To help everyone enjoy their stay, Westergate House welcomes guests aged 16 and over. We’re also unable to accommodate guests travelling with dogs or other pets.

It gives you the freedom to relax, spend quality time together and enjoy your time at Westergate House.Children are welcome as part of exclusive-use bookings, but we ask families to bring any essentials they may need for younger children and to supervise them throughout their stay.
Free Ample Parking
Leave your car with us and take the regular 415 bus into York. The bus stop is just one minute from our gate, with direct routes into York city centre. If you'd prefer to drive part of the way, York Designer Outlet Park & Ride is just two miles away, making it easy to leave the car and continue your journey into York.
